Maintenance Planner

JOB FUNCTION:
This position will work under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Shift Lead in various planning activities focused on improving the overall operating efficiency of Fleet Maintenance. A key daily priority of the position includes the identification and provisioning of parts and supplies required to accomplish repair and maintenance tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Generate work order for required services.
Researching and developing parts lists necessary to accomplish repair & maintenance tasks.
Equipment and Part sourcing.
Ensure complete and accurate charging of materials to assets and business units.
Coordinate availability of parts for routine repairs & services at the point of service.
Manage and coordinate the return, and timely processing, of repairable and core parts.
Sustain stocking levels of Safety and Shop supplies, Forms, and Tags.
Work Order closing and documentation.
Shop Hazard Communication Administrator
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position must be able interact with operations, and production teams and provide support as needed.
Perform other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or related field preferred.
Must have effective oral and written communications skills, effective listening skills, and ability to interact with others.
Microsoft Office Experience
Technical/Trade School degree or formal training in maintenance and repair of diesel or gasoline engines, or repair and diagnostics of mechanical systems preferred.
Must be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision in a demanding environment.
