JOB FUNCTION: 

This position is responsible for assisting with environmental department efforts at the customer location at the direction of the Environmental Project Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Manage proper collection of various waste streams.
2. Process waste shipments including Hazardous waste, universal waste, and nonhazardous waste
3. Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and employees.
4. Provide a safe work environment for all employees.
5. Maintain inspections, record keeping, and audit compliance.
6. Assist and/or supervise team members as needed.
7. Complete special assignments effectively and in a timely manner.
8. Assist Environmental Project Supervisor in coordinating supplier and customer facility visits and audits.
9. Assist Environmental Project Supervisor in driving cost savings programs implemented throughout FEM to meet required budgeted targets.
10. Complete all required MPW (FEM) Human Resources and Health & Safety training, in addition to customer specific required training.
11. Perform other duties as directed

Required Skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Ability to move up to 50 Lbs., with or without accommodation.
2. Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor.
3. Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty.
4. Ability to position oneself for work conducted in and around confined spaces.
5. Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
6. Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.

Required Experience

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
2. Some High School education acceptable.
3. Able to work safely and efficiently.
4. Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
5. Professional oral and written interpersonal communications.
