JOB FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for overseeing the systems and personnel associated with ensuring the availability and deployment of all physical and human assets (equipment, parts and employees) required to satisfy all Sanitation and/or Hydro Excavation job requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Ensures equipment requirements, location and status are coordinated with maintenance and operations management.

2.      Responsible for hiring, training, and developing Logistics Coordinators and Specialists.

3.      Monitor and ensure compliance to DOT regulations at the dispatching level.

4.      Investigate, monitor and recommend, as appropriate, current applications of state-of-the-art logistics technology.

5.      Initiate or recommend, as warranted, system changes to improve overall equipment utilization and transportation costs.

6.      Performs other duties as directed.

1.      This position handles a broad range of problems and emergencies across multiple branch and customer locations, and requires a high degree of freedom, responsibility and accountability for taking actions in response to them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      Bachelor Degree in related field preferred. Associate Degree with specialization in industrial or operational trades required.

2.      Thorough knowledge of Porta Kleen operations, customers, equipment and personnel.

3.      Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and enterprise applications. Routing/Logistics application experience preferred.

4.      Ability and experience in applying creative and effective solutions to a broad array of complex problems.

5.      Professional ability and experience communicating will all levels in a fast-paced, multi-branch business environment.

6.      Ability to establish, monitor and lead and develop human assets across multiple branches and disciplines.

7.      Ability to set and monitor goals for functional areas and human assets, strong leadership and delegation skills.

8.      Ability to conduct himself/herself in a professional and ethical manner with regard to sensitive business and employee information.

9.      1-3 years of experience involving Porta Kleen, warehouse, logistics/dispatch, field operations or comparable experience with a similar enterprise.
