The Administrative Assistant Senior will coordinate and manage activities as they related to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs to ensure a smooth efficient operation; works under occasional supervision; performs office management duties; prepares and reviews reports; assists in the preparation of designated grants and documents related to the accreditation. The Administrative Assistant Senior will perform administrative support duties. The Administrative Assistant Senior will make work related decisions in accordance with existing policies and procedures. The person will oversee special projects as designated by the Dean.

 

• Assist with administering and coordinating office activities related to Student Affairs
• Prepare and review reports; researches and complies data for reports
• Maintains day to day scheduling of the Dean
• Serves as a liaison with other departments, faculty, staff, students and external organizations
• Monitors, compiles and interprets departmental budgetary and financial items and grant specifications
• Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Ability to maintain filing and record keeping systems
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of institutional policies, procedures and organization structure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and proficiency in various PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong composition and editing skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including budgetary process.
  • Process training skills to work with assigned staff.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or with a minimum of four (4) years of related experience is required.
