Position Summary: 

Under limited supervision, the Inside Sales Specialist (Retention & Reengagement) is responsible for reactivating dormant accounts, recovering lost sales opportunities, and maintaining long-term relationships with past customers. Also responsible for improving orders, proactively focused on aftermarket retention, retrofit, modernization and services contracts. This is a direct order contribution role. This role requires a good understanding of CNC, robots and industrial automation and the ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers in manufacturing environments. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Activity & Essential Function Identification

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactively initiate outbound calls to previous or inactive clients to reintroduce automation products and services.
  • Improve orders proactively focused on aftermarket retention, retrofit, modernization and services contracts.
  • Follow up on stalled deals, expired service contracts, and missed renewals.
  • Understand client pain points and recommend tailored automation solutions (e.g., robotics, sensors, control systems).
  • Maintain a cadence of recurring check-ins with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
  •  Collaborate with engineering and product teams to stay updated on new features and services
  •  Log all customer interactions, feedback, and recovery efforts in CRM platforms.
  •  Analyze sales data to identify trends in customer churn and recovery success.
  • Support marketing campaigns targeting reactivation and retention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory / Management Responsibilities

       ·         No direct reports.

Travel Requirements

       ·         5-10% travel based on training and customer demand, primarily within Mexico

Essential Education, Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial automation or manufacturing technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and customer support teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results driven.
  • Previous experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, or a similar role.
  • Effective and persuasive communication skills to build relationships developing trust
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with strong negotiation skills.
  • Communicate verbal and written in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels (English and Spanish).
  • Outgoing and excellent telephone personality

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience

  •  Understanding of automation systems, including CNC, PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and IoT-enabled devices. Salesforce experience
