POSITION SUMMARY: The CNC Specialist (Machine Tool) drives CNC market expansion in the Americas by managing relationships with Machine Tool Builders (MTBs), Importers, Dealers, and End Users. This role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision makers nationally and internationally. The CNC Specialist collaborates interdepartmentally with the Global Industry Solution group, marketing, service, and regional sales teams to enhance customer relations at both commercial and technical levels, ensuring strong customer satisfaction.

 POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with MTBs, importers, dealers, and key accounts through regular telecommunications and on-site visits, providing comprehensive information about Mitsubishi CNC technology, solutions, and services.
  •  Customer Support: Act as a primary point of contact for key and target customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  •  Customer Engagement: Prepare and deliver presentations to new and existing customers about MEAU CNC products and services, focusing on creating new business opportunities and increasing the customer base. Provide stakeholders with comprehensive and up-to-date information about Mitsubishi CNC technology, solutions, and services to keep them well-informed and engaged.
  •  Order Coordination: Monitor and support customer CNC orders, coordinating with Mitsubishi overseas affiliate companies in the MTBs' origin countries to facilitate timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Market Analysis: Follow industry trends and competitor activities, offering value-added propositions to maintain and grow CNC market share within the Americas.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports based on tracking documentation to provide insights into customer activities, industry trends, market share, and other key metrics.
  • Documentation: Document activities in Salesforce and develop an opportunity pipeline.
  • Product Familiarity: Familiarize yourself with MEAU CNC products available to your customer base, including NC, Robot, PLC, GP Servo, VFD, GOT/HMI, Engineered Solutions, Software solutions, and Maintenance, Advanced Functionality, etc.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and proactively bring strategic business opportunities to the appropriate GIS or Sales Engineer.
  • Account Management: Maintain control of and provide account credits, discounted fares, and reduced option and extended warranty pricing to the Machine Tool network.
  • Product Specifications: Determine product specification and functionality needs and clearly communicate them to marketing.
  • Communication: Communicate with management about the expectations of key accounts and report requests from the customer base.
  • Technical Support: Stay abreast of MTBs' ongoing technical concerns, problems, and open issues, engage support resources to ensure expected resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Report lost business opportunities relating to product specifications, pricing, and other such reasoning.
  • Technical Claims: Monitor escalated technical claims and report any key points, positive or negative, to the service or appropriate group. Follow up with escalated technical claims and support requests for training to ensure customer satisfaction.
  •  Final Point of Contact: Serve as the final point of contact for MTBs, dealers, and end users regarding advanced technical/engineering issues when the service/support department has not made a resolution.

 

 

Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities

  • None

Travel Requirements

  • Travel approximately 50% for meetings, presentations, trade expos, dealer events, and other supporting needs, both domestically and internationally.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of Sales and Marketing experience with CNC and / or Machine Tools
  • Self-driven sales professional with strategic and value-based sales experience
  • Experience in creating sales literature and marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge with PC hardware and software required

   BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong background in CNC and machine tool operations preferred
  • Technical writing skills
  • Familiarity of Robotic automation concepts is preferred
  • Salesforce and / or CRM Management
