As a Financial Analyst at Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc., you will perform cost analyses and financial planning, supporting various business operations and initiatives. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing cost and budget reports, managing ERP cost systems, and collaborating on process improvement projects. This role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.

 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform cost analysis for production, product, project, and service, including understanding freight impact.
  • Prepare analysis of profit center margins working with business partners to understand variances.
  • Prepare cost operating forecasts for budgets including the labor and OH rate calculation.
  • Assume limited role within the month-end accounting close, be responsible for reviewing accounts and performing audits as necessary.
  • Engage in projects and process improvement initiatives, collaborating with the team to drive business improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain ERP cost system for tracking and analyzing cost data.
  • Develop and implement cost analysis procedures.
  • Develop/Compile accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly reporting on business operations
  • Management reports (e.g., daily booking and billings).
  • Budget reports (including management of the budget import process).
  • Revenue/Tax reports.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and monthly financial reviews.
  • Assist in preparing variance analysis against prior year and budget, including doing detailed research.
  • Respond to business and management requests for ad hoc reports and analysis.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience

  • BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal departments.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel.

 

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in accounting/financial related fields.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAP).
  • Experience using SAP HANA FI/CO.
  • Data analysis skills (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL).

 

Expected Salary: $64,750 - $80,000

 

The listed salary range is approximate and reflects the anticipated compensation for this position as determined by salary analysis; both internal and external to MEAU. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience. Compensation may also vary due to market factors. MEAU retains the right to adjust compensation based on business needs.
