What We Need

Kymeta is looking for a Senior Flat Panel/Display Design Engineer.


  • Effectively translate Kymeta technology and product roadmap into flat panel antenna designs producible at high volume, optimized cost, and world-class quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and drive continuous improvement efforts through engineering and design to realize optimized cost and quality of flat panel antenna assemblies
  • Maintain knowledge of current flat panel display design, engineering, and manufacturing technologies, and apply to ongoing product design and development efforts
  • Collaboration with the Kymeta supply chain operations team to qualify vendors
  • Manage technical design efforts with external vendors and partners
  • 10% foreign travel 


  • Chip-level integrated circuit design experience (RF integrated circuit design preferred)
  • SPICE modeling of chip-level integrated circuits (Display active matrix drive circuits, including a-Si, LTPS, and metal-oxide TFTs a plus)
  • Flat panel display stack-up and process flow design (alternatively, VLSI/ASIC stack up and process flow)
  • Supplier management
  • Photomask layout and artwork generation using L-Edit or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Matlab, Python, and/or C++
  • Direct experience with microfabrication techniques (photolithography, wet/dry etching, metal sputtering/evaporation, etc.) a plus
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese a plus
  • Excellent communication abilities including verbal and written communication, the willingness to discuss questions or uncertainties in job assignments and to be able to positively interact with co-workers
  • 10 years’ experience in the design and fabrication of chip-level ICs, ASICs, and/or flat panel display (OLED, LCD)
  • Experience with direct emission display (mini-LED, micro-LED, OLED) a plus
  • Alternatively, experience in other areas of semiconductor device engineering, e.g. MEMS, will be considered
  • Experience in RF/microwave engineering is a strong plus 


  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar field. A Ph.D. with less experience will be considered
