Sr. Cloud Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures across Azure and AWS
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices, guardrails, and policies
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and key management
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform for secure and repeatable deployments
• Build and automate security controls, compliance checks, and remediation workflows
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cloud security threats and incidents
• Perform cloud security risk assessments, threat modeling, and design reviews
• Partner with platform, DevOps, and application teams to embed security early
• Support audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory assessments
• Mentor junior engineers and provide cloud security thought leadership
• Utilize AI-enabled tools (e.g., chatbots, document automation, analytics assistants) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and streamline routine tasks while following company AI governance and data privacy standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in information security, with strong focus on cloud security
• Hands-on expertise in both Azure and AWS security services, including:
• Azure Security Center / Defender for Cloud
• Azure IAM, Key Vault, Network Security Groups
• AWS IAM, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty
• Strong experience with Terraform for:
• Infrastructure provisioning
• Security automation
• Policy enforcement and reusable modules
• Solid understanding of:
• Cloud networking (VPC/VNet, routing, firewalls)
• Zero Trust security principles
• Encryption, secrets management, and key lifecycle
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and detection tools in cloud environments
• Familiarity with secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to leverage AI to create, develop, and scale documentation to meet product and departmental requirements
• Skills in prompting AI systems and assessing output standards
