The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate books and records for the company by performing routine account reconciliations, analysis and interpretation of the transaction as it relates to GAAP.  This position works closely with the entire accounting team and reports to the Accounting Manager.

The Company is located in Irvine and seeks a Senior Accountant with 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in general accounting, the monthly close process, and account reconciliations.

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP.
  • Responsible for certain aspects of the month-end close process including journal entry preparations (e.g., accruals, prepaid and reclassification, etc.), balance sheet account reconciliations, and analytics
  • Assist with the consolidation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of global financial reporting. 
  • Analyze accounting results, investigate variances, and document findings
  • Identify efficiencies to streamline processes and procedures
  • Help ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures
  • Prepare external audit schedules and assist with audit requests 
  • Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606
  • Draft and maintain technical accounting memos 
  • Ad hoc and special projects as requested

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive general accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting\Finance
  • Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • Strong business acumen and logical problem solver
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and advanced level Excel
  • Experience with Nestsuite a plus 
  • Experience in a private equity owned business and/or public accounting

The base salary range for this role, across the US, is $71,579 - $82,458.  Your actual base pay within this range will be determined by your work location as well as skills, qualifications, experience, and relevant education/training. The range provided reflects only the base salary for the role and does not include benefits.
