This position is not a generalist FP&A function—it is purpose-built to ensure financial ownership of a rapidly scaling SaaS portfolio hosted across AWS and Azure and delivered globally.
With 16 SaaS services (that are rapidly growing in number) in production, significant vendor exposure, growing customer volume, and increasing architectural complexity, this role must remain laser-focused on the Cloud business. The role will report to the VP of Customer Success Operations and will serve as a finance partner to the VP of Cloud Services and their leadership team—responsible for the Cloud P&L, promoting FinOps practices, overseeing vendor financials, supporting cost transparency efforts, and facilitating decision-making through data and analytics.
This role is accountable for overseeing all financial planning, cost optimization, and vendor management activities related to Tungsten’s global cloud operations. This role ensures data-driven decision-making, optimizes SaaS economics, drives FinOps maturity, and protects margins as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities
Core Financial Operations
Lead annual budget, monthly forecasts, and monthly reporting for Cloud P&L, including SaaS revenue, infrastructure cost, Saas headcount, and gross margin analysis.
Own all cloud-specific FP&A deliverables, ensuring actionable insights are provided to Cloud Services leadership
Collaborate with FP&A to provide actionable insights into SaaS cost drivers, monthly variances, and trends. Support long-term planning and annual budgeting by educating stakeholders on SaaS-specific budgeting nuances
Renewals and ARR Analytics
Manage the monthly Renewals reclass process in accordance with the corporate reclass policy
Prepare the monthly Renewal Rates for Saas and Subscription business lines
Collaborate with the ARR team to verify and validate their modelling and provide SaaS operational insights and perspectives.
FinOps Leadership
- Implement FinOps principles to monitor and optimize AWS and Azure consumption.
Develop and drive cost-saving initiatives in partnership with Cloud leadership and Architecture teams.
- Establish chargeback/showback models and unit economics reporting.
Vendor Management
- Maintain an accurate vendor spend repository, identify cost-saving opportunities, and proactively engage with suppliers.
- Coordinate across Legal, Procurement, and Cloud stakeholders.
- Manage vendor lifecycle from onboarding to budget alignment, ensuring accurate spend forecasting and cash flow reporting. Liaise with Legal, Procurement, and global Finance teams including AP/AR.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Support
Prepare monthly executive dashboards on Cloud financial performance
Partner with the VP Cloud Services to support investment cases, headcount planning, and strategic decision-making.
