Management and staff in Tungsten Automation's Software Engineering job family help the company to build and improve new and/or existing software products and their applications that we sell to our customers. The position of Sr. Software Engineer requires that appointees are capable of making independent technical decisions on assigned work.
As member of a team you will develop SAP-components for our software solutions which are used by our large international customers.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Software Engineer position include:
- Responsible for larger or more complex departmental work, which often involves directing and overseeing the technical work of less experienced departmental staff
- Act as cross-functional project leader (when assigned)
- Give input into the department’s technical training plans
- Act as a lead departmental representative when working with other departments (e.g., Product Management, Technical Training, etc.)
Sr. Software Engineers will perform some, if not all, of the following tasks:
- Development and support of the Process Director SAP modules.
- Work in a team with other SAP ABAP developers, QA and documentation persons.
- Cooperate with other development team members involved in complementary technology.
- Work in an agile scrum team spread across distributed locations which develops SAP-components for our software solutions in the Financial Process Automation (FPA) area which are used by our large international customers.

Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- Experience with SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD or PP.
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- SAP certification in ABAP development is preferred but not mandatory.
- English level - intermediate and above
Required Experience
Candidates for this position should hold the following qualifications, have the following experience, and be able to demonstrate the following competencies to be considered as a suitable applicant. Please note that except where specified as “preferred,” or as a “plus,” all points listed below are considered minimum requirements.
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
- Typically has 5-7 years’ relevant technical experience
- Has a minimum of 1 or more years’ previous experience with similar product lines or subject areas as Tungsten Automation
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently on larger or more complex departmental assignments
