The incumbent will be reporting to Senior Manager, Accounting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on strategic individual and able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment. The incumbent will have a high level of influence within the organization; effective leadership skills are essential.
We are looking for a person with a minimum of three years’ experience in an Accounts Payable Manager position, who can manage a staff and effectively delegate responsibilities, develop a sense of accountability and follow-through, and most of all, implement effective/efficient policies and procedures that will raise the productivity and performance of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining and implementing best practices within the Accounts Payable department. As the main point of contact, the Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for leading the staff with respect to methods, practices, and expected standard of performance.
In addition, this position is responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable systems, records and files
- Maintaining excellent external vendor and internal relations through customer service and prompt response to inquiries
- Balancing and reconciling to the general ledger
- Conducting month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensuring the timely processing, review and issuance of payments and expense report reimbursements
- Ensure that overall department workloads and priorities are clearly communicated at all levels

Leadership & Management
- Provides clear leadership and direction to the team, in line with Company’s Strategy.
- Lead, motivate, counsel, develop and coach team members to meet, KPIs and SLAs, especially the tight monthly, year end and ad hoc initiative deadlines.
- Role model to cultivate the positive and healthy working environment within the team
- Manage team resourcing, performance levels & development plan for business continuity.
- Liaise with various and stakeholders to gain support and resolve issues.
Required Experience
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
Education
- Degree in Finance and Accountancy. Qualified Accountancy will be a plus to consider.
Experiences
- 3-5 years progressive Accounts Payable experience; as well as 1-3 years of relevant supervisory or management experience within a financial environment.
· Proficiency in accounting system, preferably Navision & Netsuite
- Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and intermediate level Excel skills.
· Knowledge and experience with reporting requirement of the GAAP, IFRS
