Production and Tech Design Analyst

Responsible for maintaining tech packs in PLM to assist design.  Also responsible for ordering Smartwool packaging and processing Smartwool orders

1. Smartwool Packaging
  • Monitor and order packaging for Smartwool production  
    • Analyze minimum orders and lead time to balance bulk order pricing with weeks of inventory
  • Work closely with facility planners to communicate packaging deliveries
  • Communicate directly with Smartwool for packaging delays
  • Publish weekly reporting for facility based on inventory levels and packaging needs
  • Monitor close-out styles and work with Smartwool to utilize existing packaging to minimize obsolescence

 

2. Tech Design
  • Create and maintain Tech Packs in PLM system
    • Work directly with Designer to input necessary fields into to the PLM system and ensure Tech packs are filled out timely and accurately

3. Smartwool Order Processing
  • Process Smartwool orders through their system. 
    • Produce order lists for manufacturing and the order pickers
    • Create cases and shipments in Smartwool’s system and print packaging labels
  • Communicate directly with Smartwool on order needs and delays

 

4.  Misc

·         Assist with additional tasks needed to assist the Product Development and production teams

Required Skills

  • Computer skills.
  • Microsoft suite specifically Excel
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different systems

Required Experience

High School and some college helpful. 3 to 5 years experience preferred

Computer use, telephone use, strong verbal skills, ability to read, write and entry figures.
