Create seasonal merchandising plan and manage design and development calendar for Sleepwear business across multiple brands (Hue, Huetique, Girlz etc.) to ensure all new products are developed within timeline and meet financial, aesthetic and merchandising objectives.  Drive enhanced profitability of all new products by creating process efficiency and ensuring cost targets achieved.

1.    Merchandise Plan / Timeline Development

·         Based on seasonal new product strategy, complete merchandising plans providing a blueprint for design, sourcing, marketing and product development efforts each season.  Merchandise plans to include style requirements and rationalization, target retail, wholesale and cost requirements

·         Update merchandise plans as needed throughout the development cycle.

·         Manage design / development timeline for all new products on a seasonal basis.

  1. Merchandise Plan Implementation

·         Interface with Design to review seasonal collections for adherence to new product strategy and business requirements.  Partner with sourcing to ensure IGP targets are achievable.

·         Actively participate in development status meetings with Design and Sourcing throughout the season to track status of new product and resolve potential issues.

·         Partner with Design and Marketing teams on showroom set up.

·         Manage development of line sheets for use during retail presentations, ensuring that line lists are accurate and updated as needed.

·         Work with Sales to ensure that product line reflects needs of individual accounts, ensuring that changes are communicated to Design in a timely manner.

·         Partner with Business Planning to review and manage line edit requests.

  1. Market / Category Expertise

·         Look at POS retail selling and understand the retail environment; share with Design and Marketing teams.

·         Review bookings post market and share insights with Design for future development.

·         Be aware of competitive landscape and how our business relates to what is happening in stores and online.

·         Competitive shopping alone and with Design.

  1. Merchandising Systems / Data Management

·         Enter PLM data that falls under merchandising responsibility according to timelines.  Ensure that information is accurate and flows into AMDM / line sheet creation systems.

·         Partner with Business Planning to create line sheets according to the timeline for market.

·         Work proactively with Design and Marketing to create decks that are complete and accurate for each market / category.

·         Ensure that sales order system (NuOrder or other) is complete and accurate.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once. 

Required Experience

  • Previous merchandising experience and developed fashion sense.
  • College degree in related field. 
  • Excellent computer skills.
