Job Description

KPS Global (KPSG) is the North American industry leader in the manufacture, production, and installation of walk-in coolers and freezers.  KPSG’s end-product serves many channels within the retail food market as well as industrial and scientific applications.  KPSG is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with most support activities centralized in the Fort Worth facility. KPSG maintains product manufacturing in five locations: San Dimas, CA; Fort Worth, TX; Piney Flats, TN; Conyers, GA; and Goodyear, AZ. 

Position Summary
The entry-level Junior Accountant supports the accounting team in executing the monthly close process and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional (0–1 year experience) who is looking to develop core general ledger accounting skills in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities


Required Skills

Month-End Close

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries with appropriate support and documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end accruals and related analysis
  • Support variance analysis by researching and explaining account fluctuations

Reconciliations & General Ledger

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including supporting schedules
  • Identify and resolve reconciling items in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and assist with account analysis

Financial Reporting

  • Support preparation of monthly financial reports and close packages
  • Compile supporting schedules for internal reporting and audit purposes
  • Assist with recurring and ad hoc reporting requests

Controls & Compliance

  • Follow established accounting policies and internal controls for journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure all work is accurate, well-documented, and audit-ready
  • Support ongoing process improvements and standardization efforts

Audit & Team Support

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Collaborate with team members to meet close deadlines
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance

Experience

  • 0–1 year of accounting experience (internships acceptable)

Skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., formulas, basic data analysis)
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a month-end close environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in accounting or finance
  • Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Familiarity with reconciliations or journal entries
