The Industrial CAD Designer plays a key role in supporting KPS Global by using advanced design systems to develop detailed blueprints, approval drawings, and comprehensive production packages. These designs ensure that custom enclosures for controlled environments are accurately planned and built to meet customer specifications. By transforming concepts into precise technical documents, the Industrial CAD Designer helps maintain quality standards, streamline production, and enable efficient collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

•    Manipulating KPS design systems & product standards to product basic and custom drawings tailored to individual customers.
•    Understanding what can be done within company standards to achieve customers’ requests for our product.
•    Creating drawings for both customer approval blueprints and production shop drawings, including panel details, accessory lists, and bills of materials; details include all views and dimensions necessary to manufacture/install specific projects.
•    Design projects that fulfill customer requirements while aligning with manufacturing capabilities and streamlining processes.
•    Performing final drawing checks prior to releasing to manufacturing for all assigned projects, assuring quality work is being produced.
•    Maintaining and growing communications between operating areas within KPS Global, including your specific team, other teams, inside sales/quotations, purchasing, scheduling, install, and manufacturing.

Day-to-Day Functions

•    Domain: Architectural, Construction (90% Architectural focus)
•    Tools: AutoCAD (mandatory), Microsoft Office (mandatory), SolidWorks (optional), Revit (optional)
•    Industry: Industrial & Scientific, Cold Storage, Enclosures
•    Role Focus: Architectural Design, customer relations, maintaining production workload, meeting customer timelines, internal collaboration, team improvement

We are seeking professionals with strong architectural design fundamentals and hands-on experience using CAD software, ideally with exposure to real-world architectural and construction environments. There is significant growth potential in the use of custom enclosures for controlled environments across non‑traditional market applications, and the industry is seeing rapid innovation in this area.


Required Skills

Qualifications
Items listed are required unless “preferred” is indicated

•    High School Diploma; CAD certificate or degree preferred
•    1–3 years relevant experience
•    Strong geometric aptitude and software proficiency
•    Proven experience with Autodesk AutoCAD for assembly design (architectural drafting applicability of the software is preferred)
•    Experience in 3D Design tools (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit) 
•    Ability to conceptualize 2D and 3D forms/shapes, read blueprints, and do calculations dealing with geometry and trigonometry.
•    High focus on both the fine details and overall scopes of projects
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability and willingness to actively contribute to your immediate team and surrounding teams.
•    Experience providing outstanding customer service and focused, high-quality work
•    Proficient with MS Office Applications
