The Network Administrator (SA) is responsible for maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting an organization's computer networks. This individual will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. The Network Administrator will also be responsible for troubleshooting any network-related problems that arise, and for making recommendations for upgrades and improvements to the network infrastructure.


Required Skills

Required Skills, Experience, Education & Certifications
Items listed are required unless “preferred” is indicated

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, etc.) preferred
  • Fortinet Experience preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments
  • Strong Project Management methodologies
  • Solid experience leading projects from inception to completion; highly skilled trainer
  • A thorough understanding of the business environment spanning all disciplines and the interplay that occurs in the day-to-day business environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to drive speedy and correct solutions
  • A commitment to safety and to conditions that may affect associate safety
  • Manufacturing automation experience strongly preferred

Required Experience

Major Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Monitor network performance and security and optimize network traffic for efficiency and reliability
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages and make necessary repairs and adjustments
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches and security configurations
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine network requirements and design solutions to meet the organization's needs
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures
