POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Coordinator supports day-to-day production planning and scheduling activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role works closely with plant managers, production supervisors, and senior management to maintain accurate schedules, resolve production issues, and support on-time delivery of customer orders.
This is a position for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related operations environment. While the role has visibility to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, it is not a senior or executive-level position.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demand and plant capacity.
• Review production data to create and maintain accurate schedules aligned with labor, materials, and equipment availability.
• Collaborate with plant managers, supervisors, and production teams to understand constraints and adjust schedules as needed.
• Monitor production progress, identify disruptions, and recommend schedule adjustments to minimize delays and cost impacts.
• Ensure materials, buyouts, and components are aligned with production schedules and shipping requirements.
• Communicate production schedules, changes, and risks to internal teams and management in a clear and timely manner.
• Track production performance, inventory levels, and key metrics; prepare routine reports for management review.
• Support cost awareness by identifying inefficiencies and opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Perform accurate data entry and transactional updates within ERP/MRP systems.
• Assist with general production coordination and administrative support as needed.
