KPS Global (KPSG) is the North American industry leader in the manufacture, production, and installation of Walk-in Coolers and Freezers.  KPSG’s end-product serves many channels within the retail food market as well as industrial applications.  KPSG is based in Fort Worth, Texas with Engineering activities centralized in the Fort Worth facility (along with Finance, Human Resources, Customer Operations, Sales, and Installation Services), supporting product manufacturing in five locations: Fort Worth, TX; Piney Flats, TN; Conyers, GA, San Dimas, CA, and Goodyear, AZ.

KPS Global is looking for a Sr. Manager Project Management, to join the Construction Services Group.

The Senior Manager of Project Management role at KPS Global, LLC entails overseeing various aspects of project management, including training, departmental management, improvement initiatives, and project auditing. This position reports directly to the VP of Construction Services and requires extensive experience in project management, particularly within a general contracting environment. 3-4 project teams (approximately 18 people) report into this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training, Developing, Coaching (50%): Primarily responsible for imparting best practices in project management to the project management team.
  • Management (20%): Involves strategizing for the department, managing budgets, reporting, and actively participating in cross-functional meetings.
  • Improvement Initiatives (20%): Dedication to enhancing existing processes and practices within the department.
  • Project Auditing, Issue Resolution (10%): Oversight of project audits and resolution of issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities: In addition to the previously outlined duties, the Senior Manager must prioritize actions that directly impact the performance of individuals, projects, and customer satisfaction. This includes implementing strategies to enhance team capabilities, streamline project processes, and improve communication with clients to ensure their needs are met consistently.

Success Metrics:

·         People Performance: The ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams effectively, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement among team members.

·         Project Performance: Ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

·         Customer Satisfaction: Prioritizing client relationships and delivering projects that meet or exceed customer expectations, thereby enhancing satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.

 


Required Skills

  • Interpersonal: Candidates should possess not only the technical expertise required for effective project management but also the skills necessary for nurturing team dynamics and client relationships. Strong leadership abilities, coupled with a customer-centric approach, are essential for driving success in this role.
  • Experience: Approximately 20 years of senior-level project management experience, preferably in a general contracting setting, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex projects with demanding clients, tight schedules, and frequent changes.
  • Leadership Skills: A proven track record of leading and developing teams, , and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge and experience in utilizing various project management tools and techniques, including but not limited to project planning, AIA contracts, invoicing, safety protocols, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Risk Management: This candidate demonstrates an unwavering commitment to identifying project risks and adeptly employs best practice project management tools to mitigate or eradicate these risks effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for maintaining transparent and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and upper management.
  • Location: Must be based in the DFW area and willing to work in-office 4-5 days a week.

Additional Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture is preferred, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and strong project scheduling skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally, with estimates suggesting less than 20% of the time.
  • Client Focus: Prioritize building and nurturing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
