Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide 2 to join our team in a full-time, regular capacity. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout our healthcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control are consistently upheld. As an Environmental Services Aide 2, you will be an essential member of our Environmental Services department, contributing directly to patient safety, staff well-being, and the overall positive experience of visitors and patients at Jennie Stuart Health.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning and sanitation duties across various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, operating suites, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and administrative spaces. You will follow established protocols for terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and fixtures are thoroughly disinfected in accordance with healthcare infection control standards. The Environmental Services Aide 2 is expected to demonstrate a higher level of competency and independence compared to entry-level aides, taking on more complex cleaning assignments and potentially assisting in the training or guidance of newer team members.
Key responsibilities include the proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals, adherence to OSHA standards and healthcare regulatory guidelines, and the accurate completion of cleaning logs and documentation. You will be expected to respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, including spill cleanups and isolation room procedures, while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor in all patient-facing interactions.
At Jennie Stuart Health, we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, teamwork, and excellence. We believe that every team member, regardless of role, contributes meaningfully to the healing environment we provide for our patients and community. As an Environmental Services Aide 2, you will embody these values daily through your dedication to cleanliness, safety, and service.
This is a regular, at-will, full-time position with an annual salary structure. The role does not include per diem compensation. Scheduling may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by departmental needs. Jennie Stuart Health offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth, competitive benefits, and the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families every single day. If you are a motivated, reliable, and service-oriented individual with a passion for healthcare support services, we encourage you to apply and become a valued part of the Jennie Stuart Health family.
