Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Pharmacy Business Support Specialist to provide administrative, operational, and regulatory support for the pharmacy department. This role helps ensure efficient daily processes, supports purchasing and inventory functions, assists with quality and compliance activities, and serves as a key liaison for internal teams, vendors, and pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the pharmacy department while maintaining a high level of customer service

Process routine financial transactions, including orders, invoices, and discrepancy resolution

Maintain spreadsheets, databases, reports, charts, and other departmental records

Coordinate purchasing, receiving, and supply support for assigned entities

Communicate recalls, stock shortages, and other supply-related issues to leadership and customers as needed

Assist with inventory activities to help meet internal audit requirements

Support clinical quality measurement activities, including chart review, data abstraction, reporting, and deadline-based submissions

Monitor and analyze reporting related to diversion monitoring and the 340B Program

Assist with audits, inspections, regulatory compliance efforts, and controlled substance documentation and storage processes

Serve as a liaison for automated dispensing cabinet issues and pharmacy regulatory compliance matters

Support pharmacy technician functions as needed for drug distribution operations

Maintain confidentiality and follow all hospital safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications

College degree in business, computer science, or a related field preferred, or an applicable state pharmacy technician license with at least three years of experience in a healthcare, purchasing, or business-related environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong computer and database skills

Excellent organizational, customer service, and follow-through skills

Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and manage multiple projects at once

Ability to interpret business documents, financial information, and operational data

Strong judgment, initiative, and attention to detail
Licensure/Certification Requirements

Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician in Training in the applicable state(s) of practice

New hires or transfers may begin with a pending application but must obtain Pharmacy Technician in Training status within 30 days
-
Must obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation within one year of employment unless exempted by manager discretion
Physical Requirements
This position is classified as light work and may require standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting or moving of materials.
