Position summary: The person in this role is responsible for the development and coordination of proposals and assists with marketing efforts for the assigned region.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead, prepare, and review proposals, expressions of interest, technical proposals, award submissions, and presentations
- Lead all phases of the pursuit process from kick-off meeting to production and delivery and proposal closeout
- Develop pursuit outlines
- Participate in pre-proposal meetings, kick-off meetings, debriefings, etc.
- Provide input on pursuit teaming, content, win strategy, and storyboarding
- Prepare major sections of proposals, including but not limited to, company overview and qualifications, project descriptions and resumes, tailored for the specific pursuit. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop other pursuit content
- Coordinate proposal production (typing, graphics, editing, and reproduction), printing and delivery, with emphasis on quality assurance/quality control
- Assist with presentation preparation, presentation materials, etc
- Produce consistently compliant high-quality submissions while delivering exceptional customer service
- Provides marketing essential functions and responsibilities as required
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM database during each stage of proposal development and closeout
- Maintain marketing materials including resumes, boilerplate information, project descriptions, photographs, subconsultant information, etc. that are consistent with JMT’s brand identity standards
- Work closely and interact with technical staff, administrative staff, and marketing staff in other offices, as well as outside vendors, subconsultants, and clients
- Ensure accurate information management in all proposal files and records and maintain organization in each file and record
- Interacts with marketing staff, technical staff, vendors, and clients
- Gather information, conduct market research about prospects/clients/projects, and participate in the development of various business collateral to support continued strategic growth
- Generates reports about marketing data and statistics
- Assist with training of other marketing staff
- Involved in external marketing activities such as professional associations/organizations, conferences, exhibitions, etc
- Organizational support of office, regional, and corporate marketing efforts
- Adherence to JMT’s Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001:2015 marketing procedures

Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in CRM Systems
- Knowledge of the RFP structure and proposal process
- Understands marketing principles
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum 10 years as the marketing lead in the proposal development process at an ENR Top 100 Design Firm. Must include transportation industry experience and large market public agency (i.e. metropolitan city) experience.
- Experience with graphics and publishing software, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and other Creative Cloud platforms
Working Conditions
JMT offers a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work in a JMT office location at least three days per week or as needed to perform assigned duties. Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
