Position summary: The Federal Marketing Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for working with the core federal team to develop and execute marketing strategies targeted at federal government entities. This position requires a dynamic individual who can navigate the complexities of federal procurement processes, engage with key stakeholders, and drive strategic pursuits to achieve organizational objectives.
Compensation for this position is $70-$80 per hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. We notice that we receive a wide variety of applicants and recognize that the person selected may be less experienced or more experienced. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Strategic Pursuit Involvement
The Federal Marketing Manager will play a critical role in identifying, pursuing, and securing federal contracts. This involves working with the core federal team to accomplish the following:
- Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential federal opportunities that align with the organization's strengths and capabilities.
- Opportunity Identification: Utilize analytical tools and resources to pinpoint and evaluate upcoming federal projects, grants, and contracts.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to engage with federal agencies, ensuring alignment with their goals and priorities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with key federal decision-makers, influencers, and partners to enhance the organization's visibility and credibility.
Marketing Strategy and Execution
The Federal Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing strategy and execution related to federal clients:
Brand Positioning: Develop and maintain a strong brand presence within federal markets, ensuring the organization is perceived as a trusted and innovative partner.
- Event Management: Organize and participate in industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to showcase the organization’s expertise and foster connections.
- Data Analysis: Analyze performance data to measure the impact of marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on marketing activities, outcomes, and ROI.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and lessons learned to continually refine and enhance marketing strategies.
Federal Marketing Team Oversight
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to discuss overall proposal schedules, deadlines, and resource allocations
- Proposal Development: Coordinate the development of winning proposals, including crafting compelling narratives, value propositions, and executive summaries.
Required Experience
The ideal candidate for the Federal Marketing Manager position will possess:
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in federal marketing, business development, or a related field.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Expertise in proposal writing and presentation. Proficiency in market research tools and CRM software.
- Attributes: A proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
