The Director will:

• Provide the vision, direction and leadership necessary to support the firm’s strategic and operational goals.
• Establish standards to ensure the effective and balanced delivery of services and resources throughout the firm and formulate methods for measuring the effectiveness and quality of services.
• Manage the development and enhancement of all information services and products, including research services, competitive intelligence, knowledge management and collection management.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting and contract negotiation and analysis, and the identification and implementation of revenue and cost-recovery opportunities.
• Implement collection development policies for all media.
• Select and implement technology to support the delivery of services and products.
• Plan and oversee orientation and training for attorneys and other users, including the promotion of library products and services.
• Oversee the staff, including hiring, mentoring and staff development and training.
• Monitor and evaluate trends in legal practice, research services and technology to improve library and client services.
