Responsibilities
The Financial Management Officer will establish and maintain financial systems and controls to support project budgeting, accounting, auditing, and reporting requirements. The role ensures accountability, transparency, and compliance with donor and government standards. Responsibilities include:

Design and implement project financial systems and procedures;

Lead budgeting, internal control, and external audit processes;

Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with donor regulations;

Train and support project staff on financial practices;

Monitor financial performance and manage risk.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized university;

Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA are required;

At least 7 years of accounting and financial management experience, including 5 years on donor-funded projects;

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and accounting software;

Strong writing, presentation, analytical, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders in English.
Reporting and Work Relationships
The Financial Management Officer reports to the Project Manager. S/he works in close collaboration with colleagues, other IFDC staff and colleagues from other consortium members.
Location
This is a national recruitment with a duty station at the IFDC office based in Juba, South Sudan.
Benefits

Salary Clause
The salary grade for this position is BG 10 with a monthly salary of UDS 3,616.
The determination of new employee salaries takes into account various factors. These include the salary range linked to the assigned job grade, the candidate's qualifications in relation to the job's responsibilities and prerequisites, internal fairness, the competitive state of the job market, as well as potential organizational and budgetary considerations.
