The Director of Process Improvements is a pivotal leadership role responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing process optimization initiatives that drive organizational excellence, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic business goals. This role demands a visionary leader with a passion for continuous improvement, change management, and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results.

We are committed to fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this role is based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications and is $120,000 to $130,000. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive process improvement strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and business objectives. Act as an internal consultant to senior management, advising on best practices and innovative approaches to process enhancement.
  • Process Assessment and Redesign: Lead end-to-end reviews of current operational processes, utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation. Map, analyze, and redesign workflows to optimize performance and quality.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple process improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Utilize project management best practices to track progress, measure impact, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to inform process improvement initiatives. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and report outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Design and deliver training, communications, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders and teams across departments (e.g., Operations, IT, Finance, HR, CFS) to drive alignment and integration of process improvements. Serve as a liaison between key stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies/AI, and regulatory requirements relevant to process improvement. Benchmark against industry standards and bring new ideas to the organization.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans associated with process changes. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, internal controls, and external regulations.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular reports, proposals, and presentations for executive management regarding process improvement initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing process improvement team. Foster an environment of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Required Skills

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in business requirement documentation, project management, workflow design, and process automation tools. Familiarity with ERP systems, data visualization software, and project management applications.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and influence without direct authority.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and the board.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making. Ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable recommendations.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Typically possesses 7 or more years of relevant work experience, which includes 5 years of management experience in a finance function, large teams, and multiple complex projects.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or business transformation roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of Graebel Finance business processes, best practices, and trends in operational excellence across industries.
  • Change Management: Expertise in organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and development of training.
  • Ethics and Integrity: Consistent demonstration of high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The targets for this role are dependent on market/ geographic location and range from $120,000 to $130,000.
