The Business Intelligence Analyst must be able to produce in-depth business intelligence solutions for management and our clients. As a member of our Business Intelligence team, this person will be responsible for building dashboards, reports or solutions that convey relevant data and metrics to our clients and help identify organizational needs by collecting and monitoring data points.

We are committed to fair and transparent compensation. The salary range for this role is based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications and is $62,000 to $72,000.  

Principal/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance business intelligence dashboards, reports and analytic solutions. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment).
  • Collaboratively work with our IT team to ensure appropriate data sources are available for reporting needs.
  • Involvement in implementation of new projects.
  • Extract, analyze, and manipulate data from a variety of sources including data warehouse/data lakehouse.
  • Ability to extract meaningful business insights from data and identify the stories behind the patterns. Interpret data, analyze results using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques.
  • Optimize data strategy to support data-driven decisions.  Maintain data accuracy and spot improvement opportunities for key reports, metrics, and workflows.
  • Work with department managers to create reoccurring dashboards, reports, or other BI solutions that are presented to our internal and external clients.
  • Analyzing business requirements and processes and recommending them to the management and executives for implementation.
  • Create curriculum for training internal and external clients in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision-making capability.
  • The BI Analyst must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage their workload per deadlines and have the flexibility to shift priorities with ease and professionalism.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for data models, and report definitions.
  • Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills

  • Strong skills building reports/dashboards with Power BI and DAX
  • Strong skills in presentation and data visualization
  • Strong skills in T-SQL or ANSI SQL with ability to read and write queries of varying complexity.
  • Strong Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
  • Python or R knowledge/experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas
  • Proven ability to use data and analytics to solve complex problems.
  • The ability to process, compile, and interpret a wide variety of information into easy to interpret business intelligence solutions.
  • Strong communication skills in order to explain and support their analyses and recommendations in meetings.

Required Experience

Education:  

  •     Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Experience with Power Query/Power BI Dataflows
  • Experience with Azure Databricks a plus.
  • Experience with SSRS, SSAS or Power BI Paginated Reports
  • Experience with Power Automate
