Role Overview:
Could you be our next Business Analyst? American Income Life is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing agent compensation data, including bonuses, convention qualifications, and recognition programs while documenting and improving business processes. The role involves defining requirements for new programming and system modifications, collaborating with IT developers and various departments to implement solutions. Key responsibilities include creating statistical reports and analysis on sales and recruiting trends, maintaining databases and spreadsheets for standardized and ad-hoc reporting needs. The position also supports executive management with modeling requests and provides training to team members on new systems and processes.
This is a remote / work from home position.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and analyze data involving agent compensation, bonus, convention qualifications, recognition and accounting.
- Document business processes and data flows (current state/future state) while making recommendations for process improvements.
- Define business requirements for new programming and modifications to existing programming.
- Collaborate with IT developers, Executive Management, Agency Administration Department, Licensing, and Agency Accounting Department team members to analyze information for development, testing, and implementation of new programming.
- Collaborate with management on modeling requests from the SGA Executive Council Members and sub-committees.
- Prepare training materials for team members. Conduct onsite training to prepare for deployment of new programming and business processes.
- Assemble and analyze statistical data involving all aspects of sales and recruiting looking for trends and target areas for additional research.
- Create and maintain multiple spreadsheets and databases for routine standardized reports, ad-hoc reporting, troubleshooting and business analysis.
- Assist Management Team with various tasks pertinent to Department operations.
- Other duties as assigned or needed to assist sales executives and management in making business decisions and advancements.
What You Can Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar degree plans preferred.
- 3 years of experience in related field or experience, and life insurance industry experience a plus.
- Experience and/or training in Business Administration, Business Analyst or Statistical Analysis desired.
- Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Access
- Ability to multi-task and easily adapt to changing priorities and/or deadlines
- Ability to work independently or in a group to accomplish tasks
- Ability to be very organized and pays great attention to detail
- Ability to be a self-motivated quick-learner
