Role Overview:

Could you be our next Business Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing access to data, driving data utilization, and delivering analytical insights to support the Globe Life Benefits business. This role includes recommending process improvements, performing data analysis, and applying expert-level knowledge to address evolving business needs.

 

This is a remote / work from home position.

 

What You Will Do:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Apply in-depth knowledge of Globe Life Benefits goals and operational requirements to deliver actionable business insights.

Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicting data, and break down complex, high-level inputs into clear, actionable findings.

Translate abstract concepts into meaningful analyses, identifying the core needs behind user requests.

Identify and integrate new data sources and methodologies to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.

Design and build new reports and dashboards—both standardized and ad hoc—to address specific business questions and broader strategic needs.

Develop tools that empower the sales team with actionable information to drive performance.

 

Process Improvement:

Identify and recommend process enhancements to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and elevate the overall employee experience related to benefits.

Design, document, and recommend changes to business processes to increase operational effectiveness.

Support change management efforts during business transitions.

Audit workflows and data streams to ensure integration and data integrity; recommend strategies to leverage data for business growth.

Evaluate data to ensure case implementation quality and compliance with service parameters by administrators.

 

Project Management:

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including developers and subject matter experts—to define technical solutions, balance usability and performance needs, and track progress.

Lead assigned projects from concept to implementation, including needs assessment, solution development, testing, coordination of stakeholders, and issue resolution.

Document, prioritize, and monitor requests to ensure timely and effective execution.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with SQL and data mining preferred.
  • Prior experience in the group insurance industry is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally engage with diverse audiences including executives, managers, and technical/non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled at translating technical requirements into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Creative problem solver with a curious mindset and ability to maximize the value of existing data.
  • Ability to understand diverse stakeholder needs and frame key business questions for analysis.
  • Adept at recommending practical, timely, and user-friendly solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AWS, SQL, and Tableau; working knowledge of Data Lake architecture.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
