Role Overview:

Could you be our next Business Operations Intern? We are currently seeking an Business Operations Intern to join the Globe Life team for Summer 2026!

In this internship role, you will be responsible for a full range of activities related to the planning, development, deployment, and support of new and existing projects impacting multiple business units and business processes.  This position will support several key projects for the New Business and Underwriting business functions.

This is an on-site position located in McKinney, TX. 

What You Will Do:

• Documenting and designing business processes and making appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Work together with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
• Track and analyze business unit trends and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the department to create new or maximize existing initiatives based on data analysis.
• Collaborates with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical, and project goals.
• Works with project team members to monitor milestone completion, tracks all phases of the project life-cycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing, and tracking requests.
• Consulting role with business units in developing user acceptance test plans and procedures for end user testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and IT.
• Provides status updates and reporting on assigned projects.
• Supports business transition and helps establish change.

What You Can Bring:

• Must have obtained at least a Junior status in a Bachelor's degree program in business or related field
• Knowledge of the insurance industry a plus
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Manage details and execute effective follow through
• Ability to multi-task
• Experience working in a team environment
• Good knowledge of Excel and Outlook
• Access, SQL, Visio, Tableau, and Project experience a plus
