Role Overview:

Could you be our next ICM Testing Specialist? American Income Life is looking for an ICM Testing Specialist to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks centered around the ICM agent compensation system.  The position requires a strong Excel background, complex problem solving and the ability to work both independently and with a team.  Duties include research into compensation programming and reporting, identification of system issues, careful review of proposed solutions and documentation of testing methods and results.  

 

This is a remote / work from home position.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Resolve email inquiries from agents, executives and internal company units regarding ICM functions or reporting.  
  • Review, research and resolve daily errors on agent records, policy transactions and other processing issues.
  • Investigate possible problems with compensation functions or reporting.  This involves research of program calculations, reporting mechanics and compensation system interaction with other company programs.
  • Clearly document programming problems or requested programming changes and submit the necessary documentation for assignment to an IT team. 
  • Update and maintain testing documentation as needed. 
  • Actively participate in meetings and discussions with other team members and IT developers. 
  • Offer ideas and feedback during discussions to contribute to process improvement and issue resolution.
  • Carefully and thoroughly test coding solutions to ensure results are accurate and there are no unintended impacts to other processes. 
  • Document testing methods and results and maintain testing records system.  
  • Screen shots and other information used for testing must be tracked and included with testing records. 
  • Interact directly with IT developers and other business units to address and resolve issues.
  • Become familiar with multiple company processes involved with the compensation system.  These include but are not limited to the creation of agent information records, the generation of new and ongoing policy transactions, calculation of advance, bonus and commissions, accounting transactions, agent charges and balances, and the exchange of information between ICM and other company programs.
  • Ad-Hoc information gathering upon request.
  • Support department functions as needed.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent thereof. 
  • One year experience in Agency Administration, Agent Licensing or Agency Accounting is preferred.
  • Minimum typing requirement of 40 wpm. 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and various company software packages.
  • Must be able to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of formulas, VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables preferred. 
  • Must be able to remain focused in a face-paced environment. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to frequently changing priorities and/or deadlines. 
  • Must be able to work independently, seeking assistance or feedback when needed.  
  • Must also be able to work in a team environment with a variety of participants and personalities. 
  • Must have proficient and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, including proper grammar and punctuation.  
  • Exhibit complex problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills and an ability to independently research answers and solutions for challenging tasks and assignments. 
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to make independent decisions, based on company needs, processes and guidelines.
  • Able and willing to learn new, complex systems and processes while maintaining openness to new ideas and possible improvements.
