What You’ve Accomplished

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
  • At least 5 years of directly related experience 
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
  • Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment 
  • Advanced problem identification and resolution skills
  • Displays leadership characteristics
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking 
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Thermal-Mechanics Engineering Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA or Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Planning, organizing, and directing T-M analysis work
  • Supervising workflows to ensure deliverables are safe, high quality, on time, and within budget
  • Providing technical oversight of T-M work products and facilitating resolution of technical issues as necessary 
  • Performing personnel reviews and tracking performance goals and objectives for team members
  • Facilitating professional growth and development of team members
  • Supporting Fuel proposal efforts
  • Interacting and collaborating with customers and other Framatome teams/disciplines 

This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,0000 - $144,000 and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
