What You’ve Accomplished

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Science, a technical field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 10 years of directly related experience
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
  • Excellent problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one of major object-oriented languages (C++, C#, Java) with a willingness to learn and maintain legacy codebases, even if not writing new code from scratch initially 
  • Ability to respond to field needs, make calm, informed decisions under schedule pressure, and communicate clearly in a cross-functional environment 
  • Understanding of relation database systems, preferably SQL, including how to maintain clean, accurate, and scalable data systems
  • Curiosity and problem-solving that are required to pursue, identify and resolve issues involving interconnected systems 
  • Scripting, such as in PowerShell, SQL stored procedures, VBA, or bash, and a desire to automate repetitive tasks

 

 

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Data and Software Analyst in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Steam Generator Inspections Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will directly support the data-driven inspections of steam generators during maintenance outages, a critical part of ensuring the safe, economical production of clean electricity. You'll be trained to serve as a data manager during field operations, where you'll use Framatome’s proprietary software to maintain and certify data integrity in real time. When not in the field, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and IT specialists to maintain and modernize the software systems that power our inspections. With a dedicated mentor and access to ongoing learning opportunities, you’ll be set up to grow into a future leader in both field operations and software development. This position requires up to 25% travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
