What You’ve Accomplished
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- At least 8 years of directly related experience
- 5 years of leadership/management experience is preferred
- Advanced degrees may substitute for years of related experience
- A professional Engineering License (P.Eng) is required
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria; good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills

You may have also acquired the following skills:
- Previous leadership experience (professional or extracurricular) and/or leadership skills/training
- Customer Service and Consulting experience
- Experience working on large scale engineering projects
- Familiarity with Nuclear and Engineering processes, codes, and standards (i.e. CSA N299, N286.7, N293.7, C22.1, etc.)
- Electrical Power Transient analysis. Relay Protection design and coordination, component specification and selection
- General I&C experience via familiarity with Instrumentation specification and control systems
Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Supervisory Engineer / Team Lead in Pickering, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Design Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:
- Provide technical leadership and execute detailed design engineering change packages for project at OPG and Bruce Power nuclear generating station.
- Liaise with client and partners to ensure solutions identified meet underlying needs.
- Supervise and mentor the Electrical and I&C Design Team in solving unique problems that support production of clean safe reliable power in Ontario
- Provide knowledge and oversight for engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, maintenance and decommissioning
- Provide resolution of technical issues during design, installation and commissioning phases of projects.
- Resource management, work assignment, and support for proposals and estimating
- Track and support team performance on schedule and cost metrics
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team

- Consulting engineering solutions
- Familiarity with/Knowledge of OPG’s and Bruce Power systems, processes, and procedures
