• Mechanical and construction experience (including piping, electrical knowledge, equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment).  Performs non-standard engineering, varied engineering, and new-to-you assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
• Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design, HVAC system design, Machining, Sheetmetal, Welding, Forming etc.)
• Works with minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions.  Evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.
• Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables) and is able to adapt with flexibility.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD

As an Early Career Engineer - Advanced Fuel Management in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Department of Fuel Operations (DOF) in the Fuel Business Unit. You’ll join a team of diverse engineers to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions and value-added technologies focusing on supplying fuel, fuel components, and fabrication processes and facilities for next generation nuclear power plants. These solutions will ultimately be deployed into a state-of-the-art fuel fabrication facility at the Richland site. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Richland is located in the Columbia River basin in southeastern Washington a few hours east of Seattle.  After work, the Richland, Kennewick, Pasco Tri-cities area offers a variety of water sports and fabulous fishing.  A short drive puts you in the beautiful Cascade Mountains.  With very little rainfall annually, you can enjoy the outdoors year-round.  Join your co-workers in a Habitat for Humanity build, join a sports league or enjoy one of the unique restaurants in the area.

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $77,968.80 - $92,000 and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
