What You’ve Accomplished

You have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related discipline. You must be registered as an Engineer in Training and must be able to obtain Framatome specific Project Management Certifications upon hire. You are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management plan development, implementation, and administration

  • Strong business and/or technical expertise in a related technical or professional capacity including strong problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to work effectively at all levels of staff and management
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Work, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Project Management Certifications are preferred

 

 

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Project Leader in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Process Systems & Technology Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Chemistry and Technology Services Team is Framatome Canada’s provider of cutting-edge technology and custom processing systems and equipment.  Our highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team, consisting of mechanical, electrical, I&C, process, and chemical engineers, working together to provide our customers with life-saving medical isotopes, state-of-the-art robotics technology, and customized processing systems.  Your work will include:

  • Supports project leadership on projects and manages elements and functions under the direct supervision of a project manager.
  • Prepares project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost, and timing objectives.
  • Utilizes approved project management methods and processes to execute low risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations. 
  • Provides primary interface between project team, management, and client. 
  • Develops assignments, timetables, and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. 
  • Coordinates multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance. 
  • Defines and forecasts needed skills to meet project objectives. 
  • Manages the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices. 
  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management, or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
  • For those with engineering degrees, actively collaborates with the engineering teams to address and support associated engineering tasks as is appropriate.
  • Tasks associated with this position, including engineering management, can support meeting the necessary requirements needed to obtain Professional Engineers accreditation in Ontario
