You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • NDE experience in the nuclear industry as a level II of multiple techniques and applications (UT, PT, VT, MT, or RT).
  • Automated preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, and procedures.
  • Phased Array UT Experience preferred. 
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines required to perform assigned tasks.
  • Good written/ verbal skills; ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and coworkers.
  • Knowledge of ASME code and nuclear industry regulatory requirements associated with NDE.

 

 

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Senior NDE Technician in Lynchburg, VA or Charlotte, NC (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. The NDE Services department specializes complex UT, ECT, and Visual exams in primary system components in both PWRs and BWRs.  The group works closely with engineering and other technical teams to develop, and improve upon existing, specialized NDE techniques and tooling to perform customer required examinations both domestically and internationally.  Framatome prides itself on new and innovative NDE examination methods – recently performing several new “First of a Kind” examinations in the US Industry. Your work will include:

  • Assist Level III's in preparations for upcoming field projects.
  • Participate in technique demonstrations for customers.
  • Participate in NDE specific Ready-to-Execute checks of field equipment.
  • Assist in development projects as needed.
  • Assist in updating or generation of Technical Justifications and Procedures.
  • Seasonal Field deployment tasks include various automated and manual NDE disciplines on PWR and BWR components.
  • Typical deployments are 2-3 weeks at a time.  
  • Multiple deployments in outage seasons are typical.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $38.00 - $48.56 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
