The Codes and Automation Engineer position is within the PWR Codes & Methods Development organization in the Fuel Business Unit which is responsible for a broad range of activities including engineering code development and maintenance, topical report development and submittals, and first-of-a-kind core design and subsequent neutronics, thermal hydraulic, and safety analyses. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide.
What You’ll Do at Framatome
You will be responsible for creating new or revising existing engineering software packages that are used to perform the engineering work which support our customer’s licensing analyses. Typical assignments include:
- Work with other engineering teams to define new software requirements.
- Program new or revise existing codes and automation tools based on engineering needs.
- Perform testing to verify and validate code performance.
- Provide input on hardware interfaces, look for ways to increase code performance.
Who You Are
You are proficient within LINUX environments and have a high degree of familiarity with software development processes and NQA-1 requirements. You display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships. You place a focus on leadership and initiative and can be counted on to maintain focus on customer requirements. You have developed excellent written and oral communication skills.

What You’ve Accomplished
You will have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering or programming role for a minimum of 2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

The range of base salary for the position is between $70,000-$92,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
