Position Overview
Under direct supervision, performs Training job functions as assigned by management. Typical job
responsibilities include assisting and supporting management in ensuring that the Training function
operates in a manner that meets the operational and developmental needs of FBP management and
personnel, and ensures site compliance with all contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements. The
specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or
more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Reports directly to Senior Manager, Training, or Senior Supervisor, Training, as appropriate, to whom
    the position is accountable for all items listed under responsibilities:
  • Timeliness and quality of training lesson plan materials development and implementation
  • Alignment of job task goals with overall training department goals
  • Assists with the analysis design, development, implementation and evaluation of training programs
  • Using a Graded Approach, assist with the analysis, design, development, implementation and
    evaluation of training programs for Non-SAT Based program. (1)
  • Based upon Quality Level, assist in determining if training is to be SAT based. (1)
  • Review training, assess feedback, if necessary, and implement training.
  • Monitor effectiveness of training over time; review against procedures.
  • Identify appropriate training materials and develop lesson plans to support training programs.
  • Working with SMEs, and others identify appropriate training materials.
  • Develop and revise training materials as required to meet project/plant needs.
  • Facilitate training courses and assist with the facilitation preparation / support services as needed.
    Examples are:
  • Prepare for classroom facilitation of classes, reviews lesson plan material and procedures.
  • Facilitate classroom training sessions and administer/grade exams, if applicable.
  • Turns in completed exams/attendance rosters and other documentation to other training
    personnel for entry into the LMS.
  •  Assist in development/implementation of e-course delivered materials and self-study guides. This
    includes the following:
  • Transfer former classroom material to e-course.
  • Develop new material for e-course delivery.
  • Using special software, create and upload e-courses to LMS.
  • Assist in development of evaluative criteria for measuring effectiveness of training.
  • Participate in revision of continuing training materials.
  • Support the training department Computer Based Training center and new employees.
  • Collect and transfer training records in accordance with guidelines provided by the Training Records
    Custodian.
  • Review and maintain modules as necessary due to changes in reference procedures,
    systems/equipment modification and/or lessons learned, based on input from SMEs
  • Identifies appropriate training materials, develops lessons plans and related tasks as required
  • Assists with facilitation of training courses
  • Assists with preparation / support services as needed
  • Provides a variety of administrative and support services to the Training team
  • Perform duties general/route to moderately complex in nature
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
  • Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all
    approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a
    safe manner
  • Actively participates in Safety Work Groups
  • (1) Basic Instructor Training course completion required

Working Conditions
Work in an office at a normal environmental restoration atmosphere (outdated and/or abandoned facilities
or industrial field environments). May also work at off-project sites representing the organization at various types of locations throughout the community for business purposes. Potential exposure to
equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents or hazardous and radioactive materials if
proper safety procedures are not followed.
Ability to perform sedentary to moderate work, exerting up to 30 pounds occasionally, non-repetitive,
up to 15 pounds frequently, repetitive; performing such activities as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing,
pulling, standing, walking, grasping, kneeling, stooping, reaching.
In some cases radiological training may be required.
