What the job looks like: 

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong development skills. In this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge with a strong aptitude for appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. We engage in all-day interdisciplinary pairing and mobbing in So Work, a virtual office. It is important to use test-driven development with full code coverage. This team engages in fully transparent, open source development. User-centered design is what drives our day.

You have: 

• Worked in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

• 5+ years of Development experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Strong experience in at least one modern programming language such as TypeScript, Java, etc.

• Experience with React single-page applications and Node.js backends

• Willingness to work collaboratively with other developers for most of your day

• Experience building, testing, and deploying applications with a team using CI/CD principles

• Experience building RESTful APIs

• Experience with automated unit testing, integration, and end to end testing

• Superb time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have knowledge and experience:

• Developing using Test Driven Development

• Experience with Jest, Cypress, and/or pa11y

• Experience with Vite and Vitest

• Experience with U.S. Web Design System

• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps
