Technical Writer

Flexion Inc. a Madison, WI based IT Consulting and Services firm is looking for a Technical Writer to work on a long-term consulting project. The client for this position is based in Madison, WI. This will primarily be a remote position, but Wisconsin residency is required. 

The Technical Writer will perform a variety of tasks in collaborating with a variety of subject matter experts to gather information, reviewing screens and process and data flows in multiple technology tools, and working independently to develop effective detailed worker procedures and instructional materials such as manuals and informational brochures in plain language.  

Required skills and experience:

• At least five years of technical writing work experience,  including writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
• Experience in the insurance or employee benefits field is preferred
• Experience performing external communications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

The salary range for this position is in the $26-28/hr range. This position does include a full benefit package.
