How will your role impact First Command?
The Learning Operations Partner supports learning operations as part of the Talent/Leadership and Coaching team within Human Resources. The principal purpose of the role is to ensure the superior planning, execution, and assessment of learning, development, and coaching events, activities, and related special projects for Home Office and Field Leadership development. The role reports to the Director of Learning and Talent Development consistent with the learning strategies co-created by the Vice President of Organizational and Talent Development and the rest of the Talent/Leadership and Coaching Team. The Learning Operations Partner maintains records, schedules, tracks, collects and analyzes feedback for all talent development sessions. The successful incumbent demonstrates expert project planning and organizational skills. Leverages a high degree of creative involvement in designing and creating training materials, course catalogs, course communications, and PowerPoint presentations. Responsible for administering LMS system(s) and all assessment systems including, but not limited to, 5 Dynamics, Myers-Briggs, EQi, Watson Glaser, CLS, Korn Ferry evaluations, LinkedIn Learning, a mentoring platform, and our 360 feedback tools. This is a growth role that collaboratively supports essential activities of the organization’s learning function. The ideal candidate/incumbent will also be interested in building his or her own working or proficient understanding of instructional design, learning facilitation, and capability coaching to support a career path in talent development based on performance and potential. As business needs arise, the incumbent will be certified to facilitate assessment debriefs and facilitate specific workshops as needed.
What will you be doing?
- Proactively administer all learning and development activities, instructor-led and e-learning, including scheduling facilitators, employees, vendors, and facilities, and coordinating materials and conference room logistics, including IT needs, to ensure flawless execution.
- Support the administration of internal systems, including our leadership development cohorts, leader groups, career development, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Through system oversight, must ensure record integrity and accuracy.
- Administer the Learning Management System(s) (LMS) and be the SME on all LMS-related items. This includes input and updates of all course content-related information, workshop dates, workshop evaluations, and participant communications.
- Administer, monitor, coordinate, and evaluate large or small-scale development programs.
- Generate reports and analyze data to track training completion and compliance, show trends and engagement in learning resources, and provide statistics to management, as needed.
- Work with the team to support budget tracking and planning, curriculum planning, and personal development planning.
- Manage vendor contracts and the ordering of content and materials. Manage all development and coaching content and materials; update content as needed.
- Provide substantive and creative feedback on the content of learning and development workshops and programs.
- Prepare and polish PowerPoints, learning aids, and other learning resources when needed
- Participate as frequently as possible in LDC workshops and other learning experiences to develop skills with instructional design, learning facilitation, and coaching.

What skills/qualifications do you need?
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree desirable
Corporate Engagement
- This person engages with others at all levels of responsibility in functions across the organization. Due to the personal nature of talent development work (coaching, general enrollment workshops, team workshops/alignments, and general business collaboration), most of the role’s work is done onsite at our corporate headquarters. Subject to business-related revision as needed, the incumbent should expect to work onsite a minimum of three days per week.

Work Experience
- At least five years of experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with many stakeholders
- At least three years of experience in learning and development
- Project management experience required
- Experience within the financial services industry preferred
- Instructional design experience preferred
- Workshop facilitation experience preferred
- Development coaching experience preferred

- Proficient knowledge of Word, Adobe, Excel, and Outlook
- Expert knowledge of PowerPoint
- Proficient knowledge of the Cornerstone LMS
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Projects or other project management software preferred
- Proficient knowledge of change leadership principles and related models, such as Kotter and Prosci
