Position Summary
The Field Operations Specialist provides a combination of process training and/or implementation, analytical and/or technical support pertaining to routine day-to-day operations in multiple hubs. Core focus on operational duties, which will include executing on hub level activities while driving quality, productivity, and consistency in process and procedures to ensure goas are met/exceeded. Must be an independent self-starter and able to work collaboratively with GM’s and Operations Managers while relating to employees at all levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Understands company and operational policies and procedures and drives compliance across locations
- Understands overall Operation’s strategies as well as regional goals and objectives
- Supports corrective actions initiated/requested by Management at the hub levels
- May contribute to the short-and long-range planning for region and business unit
- Applies strong working knowledge of systems and procedures. Recommends and champions changes as necessary
- Responding to constant change will react positively and help lead the way forward to include new developments in training targeted to both new and existing employees
- Audits training needs and supports training in multiple locations within a region on a regular basis
- Develops trainer development programs and coaches others involved in training
- Keeps local Management apprised of progress of training
- Key focus on customer specific processes to assure consistent processes are followed.
- Initiates internal meetings to drive consistency.
- Fully supports introduction of new operational systems/processes as well as new client onboarding and hub openings.
- Liaison between IT and Operations for system needs as required (i.e. WMS, IDLS)
- Keeps up to date on all key metrics across full client base, while understanding hubs performance to them. Recommends actions to maintain or improve processes.

Required Experience
- BS or BA in business or related field preferred but not required
- 3+ years in operations management in logistics and supply chain services environments, either with a third-party logistics provider or for a company heavily involved in this area is required.
