Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of a Payroll Specialist I to join our exceptional payroll team. The work performed is specialized accounting requiring a broad range of knowledge and close adherence to applicable Federal and State laws, as well as College policies and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely processing of wages and other compensation payments to employees.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. An appropriate combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Two (2) years full-time professional work experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
- A main focus of this position will be the management and training of the online time entry system.
- End-to-end payroll processing and experience in higher education payroll is desirable.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of payroll accounting and the applicable Federal, State, and local laws relating to payroll accounting.
- Banner experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with automated online time entry systems.

Salary: $44,000.00
