Position Title: Product Engineer

Shift: Monday – Friday; 8 – 4:30 pm or 8:30 – 5:00 pm; flexible

Summary – basic function of the role

This position manages reception, administrative and operations coordination responsibilities for the facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Site Operations Coordinator is the primary administrative support function for the Operations, Quality and HR support functions at the site.

 

 

Provides receptionist responsibilities including answering multi-line phone system and greeting customers, guests and visitors to our ENERPAC Columbus facility and providing direction as needed. 

Assist with training and/or planning, including list management, information sharing, record requests, and documentation development.

Assists Operations Planner and Operations Supervisor by collecting and analyzing scheduling, monitoring and updating production status through collection of production data. 

Ensure all operational and quality data inputs are transacted in a timely, accurate and complete manner at all times.

Provides HR site support including organizing HR activities (i.e. engagement activities, new hire orientation, annual benefit enrollment, flu shot clinics, etc.)

Receives, sorts and distributes mail as needed.

Updates plant display/communication monitors.

Greets all walk-in visitors and track down host employees - page, call, IM, eic.

Manages company vehicle rent-out process.

Support Safety/ HSSE door security measures.

Ensure compliance with all Quality Management System procedures and policies at all times

Improves processes and eliminates deficiencies in operational administrative processes and procedures. 

Provide data and analysis regarding Operational and Quality functions for management review.

Participate in site continuous improvement activities as required.

Supports departments by acting as administrative back-up in additional site functions such as facilities, logistics, shipping, order entry, etc.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain a strong level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient skill in organizational, written, oral and professional abilities.
  • Strong in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and business structure.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some College preferred

 

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience required
  • Experience with Oracle preferred

 

Physical Demands

Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. Must be able to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight.

Work Environment

Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee is exposed to elevated levels of noise on the plant floor. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Basic PPE is required during work hours where access to the warehouse is needed, safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe boots.
