The Tax Analyst is responsible for preparation of corporate tax compliance related to federal, international, state and local tax. In addition, this individual will assist in research, financial analysis, management reporting, and other special projects as required. Qualified candidate will have a desire for personal, departmental, and organizational growth.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Works with financial management and staff involved in tax related matters.
  • Participates in the review of periodic income tax provisions of subsidiary companies to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
  • Utilizes Vertex software to gather, reconcile, and import sales and use tax data and assist with data gathering for sales and use tax returns, notices, and audits
  • Prepares income tax compliance returns and workpapers including federal proforma returns, federal consolidated income tax return, international forms (5471 and 8858s), state and local income/franchise tax returns, and estimated income tax payments.
  • Research and assist with drafting technical memoranda on various tax issues as required.
  • Assists with planning and implementing changes in the tax and financial accounting systems.
  • Assists with domestic and international tax planning projects as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • The following are desirable skills for a candidate: 
  • Basic educational knowledge of one or more of the following tax areas: corporate federal income tax, international income taxation, multi-state and local income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, and other statutory authority.
  • Knowledge and experience with standard office software such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to design efficient and effective spreadsheets as well as utilize current technology communications software.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
  • 0 – 2 years tax experience in manufacturing or public accounting; or any combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
