This is a hybrid role in Irvington NY, 2- 3 days in office with flexibility to be in person up to 5 days/wk. when required.
EILEEN FISHER is seeking a Women’s Merchandising Manager to drive product selection, assortment execution, and category strategy across our women’s apparel categories. This is a true Merchandising role — not a Buying, Planning or Visual Merchandising role — focused on assorting within a seasonal framework, proposing category-level strategies, analyzing performance, and ensuring the right product mis reaches the right channels at the right time.
This role is ideal for a merchandising leader with expertise across women’s apparel categories, a strong understanding of brand visioning, and a passion for translating customer insights into compelling product assortments.
Working within the seasonal direction set by Senior Leadership, this role partners with Design, Global Sourcing, and both DTC + Wholesale channel teams to bring cohesive, commercially sound assortments to market. ensure assortments support financial goals, margin targets, and brand intention. You will report to the VP of Merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy and Assortment
● Propose category-level assortment strategies for key owned classifications that ladder up to seasonal direction and brand goals
● Curate product selection and assortments for key categories to successfully bring to market, ensuring the right product mix is executed at the right time
● Develop product strategies by channel and account to optimize revenue, profitability, and timing to market
● Ensure assortments reflect EILEEN FISHER’s commitments to sustainability, simplicity, and timeless design
Performance Analysis & Iteration
● Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to make informed decisions and optimize assortment
● Partner with the Merch Planning Manager to assort and iterate off the established line plan, providing category context and recommending adjustments as the season evolves
● Use competitive analysis and consumer insights to inform assortment decisions and keep the line relevant
Cross-Functional Partnership
● Collaborate consistently with Design, Sourcing, and Business partners to ensure assortments meet the needs of the brand and the business
● Key partner with Global Sourcing on cost, feasibility, and margin considerations to ensure pricing strategy will achieve goals
● Work with DTC and Wholesale channel partners to ensure assortments support distinct channel needs and growth strategies
Execution & Tools Management
● Develop and maintain merchandising tools in a timely manner, with appropriate follow-up and communication, in partnership with your direct report
● Contribute to pricing strategy recommendations that optimize margin and market competitiveness
● Responsible for achieving all deliverables to meet deadlines in accordance with the company PLC
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Required Experience
Education:
BA/BS in Merchandising, Business or a related field or equivalent experience
● 6+ years of progressive experience in women’s apparel merchandising — backgrounds in buying, planning, or visual merchandising are not a fit for this role
● Proven experience assorting and executing within a seasonal framework, with the ability to propose and defend category-level strategies
● Strong analytical skills: comfortable interpreting sell-through data, margin analysis, and trend insights to drive assortment decisions
● Experience working as a cross-functional partner alongside Design, Sourcing, and Planning teams
● Familiarity with both DTC and Wholesale channel dynamic
● Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills; able to articulate assortment rationale and influence across teams
● Strong organizational skills and follow-through across a multi-season product calendar with overlapping deadlines
● Experience managing at least one direct report
● Proficiency in Excel and PLM tools; Centric experience a plus

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - 130,000/yr. dependent upon experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer competitive benefits:
