Position Summary:
The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channel is the ultimate expression of the EILEEN FISHER brand vision. As a DTC Assistant Buyer, you are essential to the seamless execution of our buying strategy across both Retail and Digital platforms. This role acts as a bridge between vision and execution—supporting the team in building cohesive assortments and managing the end-to-end product lifecycle. In this collaborative role, you will foster strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure our assortments resonate deeply with our customers at every touchpoint.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation of the assortment for EILEEN FISHER Direct to Consumer channels
- Responsible for the end-to-end execution of our Retail and Digital assortments, navigating the complexities of purchase orders, product tracking, and markdowns
- Utilize Buy Tools and accurately enter quantity projections and purchase orders into the appropriate retail and wholesale systems
- Update DTC and NuOrder linesheets to share buy information with cross-functional teams and stores
- Coordinate with production partners on order placement and proper execution of buys
- Collaborate with the Merchandising team on style set up, attribution and product categorization
- Create and update official product lists used by cross-functional teams for photography and style set up
- Maintain DTC "showroom" for product walk-throughs and organize samples to support seasonal presentations
- Generate weekly selling reports and analyze business down to the channel level; identify trends and opportunities to drive business
- Execute markdowns and promotions within the system; communicate updates to retail and digital teams
- Proof marketing assets for style accuracy and ensure styles are correctly allocated for stores
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product information, order maintenance, and reporting setup
- Visit or speak with stores to gain an understanding of the location, space, the customer and develop relationships with store leaders
- Communicate regularly with teams on various topics such as product deliveries, markdowns, answering assortment or product inquiries
- Other related duties and assignments as required.
Required Experience
Education:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
- 1-2 years of related experience in retail buying or merchandising
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of initiative with an energetic “can-do” attitude
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Thrives in fast-paced environments; adept at managing competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working in collaborative environments
- Available to work in-office 3 days a week in Irvington, NY (conveniently accessible via Metro-North)
