Position Summary:
As a Retoucher at EILEEN FISHER, you will work alongside both our internal and external photography teams and brand content team to retouch our imagery for use across multiple channels– from web and email to direct mail, in-store signage, social media and more. You will perform retouching of both editorial and e-commerce on model and still life photography. This is a fast-paced environment, and you will be editing a high-volume of images while maintaining attention to detail, quality and uniformity.
*This is a hybrid role – you must be willing to commute to our headquarters in Irvington and our e-comm studio in Manhattan as required.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for retouching a high-volume of images for use in a variety of channels including web, print, social media and internal selling tools.
• Collaborate with our Art Director and Brand Stylists on retouching direction, mark up’s and fit of clothing, making any necessary adjustments.
• Ensure all work aligns with the brand look and feel- keeping retouching light and natural and ensuring color consistency across product, model and images overall.
• Support the Creative team in all aspects of post-production.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Photo Production to understand upcoming shoot schedules and project requests to manage/prioritize a varied workload of projects while balancing quality and speed.
• Coordinate with the Brand Styling, Samples and our Color team to shoot, color correct and get approval on monthly color references for both internal and external use.
• Facilitate sending imagery and notes to any Freelance staff, Retouching Studios and offshore vendors - QC their work and provide any necessary feedback.
• Deliver all content in a timely and organized manner. Anticipate and communicate any issues or conflicts that may arise.
• Support the management of DAM system by following established workflow processes, naming conventions, adding metadata as needed and helping to organize and archive files.
• Maintain knowledge of brand standards and operational processes.
• Identify workflow improvement opportunities and standardize processes to maximize efficiency.
• Strong Collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships and partner effectively with our cross-functional teams.
• Ad hoc projects as required to help support the overall business.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED
Required Experience
Education:
BFA in Photography, Graphic Design or related field or equivalent experience
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3-5+ years of experience in a retouching/post-production role
• Excellent understanding of industry best practices and non-destructive editing techniques
• Expert in Adobe Photoshop, working knowledge of other Adobe CC applications
• Experience retouching both on model and still life e-commerce and editorial photography
• Experience with colorways and changing color of product
• Experience with Capture One and/or other processing applications
• Familiarity with video editing and color grading a plus.
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to take feedback and incorporate changes quickly
• Must have a positive attitude, be a proactive self-starter, enthusiastic
• Adaptable with the ability to multi-task, solve problems and keep up with changing workflows
• Working knowledge of Project Management, DAM and Production management systems
The hiring salary range for this role is $70,000 - 75,000/yr. dependent upon experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer competitive Total Rewards package including:
